Zine Creator Participant Application

Thank you very much for your interest in participating in the Early Childhood Pedagogies Collaboratory Zine Conversation Series - we are excited to learn more about your work. 

To apply to participate in the Zine Conversation Series as a zine creator, please complete this form before June 24, 2024. 

Participants will be notified of acceptance by July 7, 2024. Please contact Nicole Land with any inquiries.

3. Do you have a mailing address in Canada? *
7. Can you provide ample material and content, created following consent/permission procedures relevant to your context, to be used in your zine discussing this pedagogical work (ex: images, drawings, writing, documentation)? *
8. Creator agreement: You will be supported to develop a 4-6 page zine and will receive an InDesign subscription. To ensure the success of the Zine Conversation Series, all creators must complete their zine. There are required online webinars that creators must attend and there is an anticipated timeline that we request zine creators follow. Please confirm that you agree to create and share a completed zine, attend all Zoom gatherings and workshops, and that the timeline below is feasible for your participation *
July 2024: - Attend 1-hour Zoom gathering introducing zine format and design technology July 2024 - October 2024: - Create 4-6 page zine using InDesign - Attend five 1-hour Zoom workshops supporting zine creation - 1:1 design and technology support/troubleshooting November 2024: - Finalize and submit zine
9. Conversation commitment: To ensure the success of the Zine Conversation Series, there are required online conversations that all participants must attend. Please confirm that you agree to attend all Zoom gatherings and workshops, and that the above timeline is feasible for your participation. *
July 2024: - Attend inaugural 1-hour Zoom gathering December 2024 - February 2025: - Review and think with 10 assorted zines received in the mail February 2025: - Attend 4-hour Zoom gathering with all participants to engage with and discuss what zines offer toward creating innovative pedagogies in ECE in Canada
